New Issue Of PREMIERE
Hey everybody, look! My dad's on the cover of the new issue of Premiere.
Ok, it's not my dad, but it's the guy playing him in the movie based on his book. Jake Gyllenhaal. Jerry told me about this the other day, so I ran out and combed all the newsstands that carry any farang publications, and finally found a copy - for $8!? So I just stood and read it there.
"David Fincher’s Zodiac, in which he’ll play the author of the book of the same title, Robert Graysmith. The story tracks Graysmith, then a newspaperman, through the investigation of the San Francisco area’s infamous Zodiac killer. She’ll have her hands full, he notes, as will they all; the script is 190 pages, which could easily make for a three-hour movie and which will certainly occasion a lengthy shooting schedule. This doesn’t intimidate Gyllenhaal, who’s what athletic coaches call a gamer: “Hey, it was two hundred pages,” he deadpans."

Pictured is Jake Gyllenhaal in the axe scene where Robert Graysmith helps Aaron chop down their Christmas tree with an axe purchased from the ZODIAC!!!
Dang that's some scary stuff right there!
I really liked your Dad in Donnie Darko. Okay, that was stupid, I know. I've had about an hour of sleep and am about to go to the airport. Feeling kind of ill. Ugh.
Hey, for a minute there, it looked like it said "Revenge of the Smith" acrosss the top of the cover!
I'm so bummed I went back to this bookstore yesterday, and it's just gone. Nothiing there but some empty rack and a large tarp covering the entrance in the mall. So sad... Now where will I read all my western rags?
