Doi Suthep
Today we took Rayluk to Doi Suthep, a buddhist temple up on the hill overlooking Chiang Mai. It's the same place we could see from our hospital room when he was born. He's seven weeks today by the way.
The first thing we came across was this elephant at the base of the temple. He pretty much just stood there, rocking back and forth, waiting for some tourist to buy the chance to feed him.
Up at the top is the wat which is the center of the temple. It's supposed to mark the spot where a mystical white elephant died after roaming the mountainside with the bones of a certain monk in a box on it's back.
Ray had an excellent time.
You can see he really enjoyed himself.
Some of the buddhas around the outside of the inner wall.
And we had just enough time left over to
stop off for a quick bite on the way home.

Man, That's a lot of stairs to climb. I'm worn out and I too need a bite.
Beautiful. And Ray got a nap in the sunshine. Sounds fun too!
